Fees

Arbitration:

All pre-hearing and post-hearing time is billed at $750 per hour, or at an agreed fixed fee.  Evidentiary hearings are billed at a fixed fee of $7,000 per day. Fees for cases governed by international conventions and rules, or hearings conducted outside the United States, may be higher. See Resume for cancellation fee schedule.

Mediation:

Subject to adjustment downward where the amount at stake so warrants, the fixed fee is $7,000 per day ($4,000 for a scheduled half-day). This fee includes preparation and preliminary conversations, as well as all follow-up conversations within a reasonable period after a full-day meeting.  For an additional day or part thereof, an additional fee will be due.  All fees are divided pro rata among the parties unless the parties have agreed otherwise.

Travel: 

INO charge for local (Southern California) travel. a actual cost charged outside that area.

Pro bono services

Pro bono service has been part of my professional resume for decades.  I provide volunteer mediation services regularly in the courts, and I remain available to assist at no cost parties who are unable to afford the services described above.
